Fashion (MA)

About

Fashion is part of ‘the civilising process’. And fashion design is the witness to the evolutions and developments of society. It has long been the vanguard of challenging social norms and social barriers and reflecting what it believes about itself, with no doubts that the ability to adapt to the changes is always the strength of fashion. Fashion designers are said to be especially sensitive to the zeitgeist or spirit of the times as they create designs that seem especially appropriate for the era in which they are working (Tortora).

In the age where we are all immersed in designs of all kinds, which means that design becomes “a category beyond categories” (Lunenfeld), we are opening up new spaces for linking theory, practice, and purpose, connecting vision and reality.
