Jenny Huang is an interdisciplinary designer and a competitive powerlifter.

As a designer, she is keen on exploring and developing innovative approaches to patterning cutting, and manipulating structures. Her angle of seeing shapes and structures forms her distinctive practice and the ways she creates materials. It allows her to methodologically explore the possibilities of 2D surfaces transforming into 3D structures. She is constantly exploring new materials and experimenting with various techniques to push the boundaries of traditional design and explore new avenues of creativity.

As a competitive powerlifter, she is currently ranked as the UK's top 16 powerlifter at 63kg weight class. She believes a woman's strength can be just as powerful as her mind.

We must leave behind our preconceptions many of the things we hold and many of our expectations. This is not a comfortable thing to have to do; it is disconcerting and the route forward is uncertain— but this is the nature of exploration. It is also the nature of the design.

To be a designer is to be on uncertain ground.
