About

In 2050, there's a place to provide the world with a portal to celebrate another way of being, it's a new definition of how we treat our life, and the way we live.

In Charleston, the house becomes a ruin after many years, and will continuously be in a state of flux coupled with people's activity, becomes even more of a ruin.

The new way of living is for everyone, but especially for the modern nomads, who have been marginalised by the mainstream society culture, nomads are always on the road, travelling, meeting, and experiencing, they never stop, but in traditional culture, they don't feel they're belonging to the same world, there's no place for them to settle in. They're experiencing losing a sense of belonging, which comes with a question, what's the definition of belonging to them? the answer is 'on the move', they meet people. make relationships, and bring new stories to their lives, all these fragments of experiences make up their unique life.

Bonder community is 'the' place for them, there's Bonder all over the world, and each community provides up to 5 years time of residence, the community aims to make their faith more stable, and strong, make them bonded, by being connected.

Most of the nomads will have a very personal object, and typically this object will have some emotional connection to them, in our world, we define the nomads' identity as a category of materials, this 'identity material' is from the last Bonder community where they lived, and from the architecture there, so that this specific material carries their living traces and memories. The 'identity material' will go nomadic with them, it's a cyclical journey of materials and place, they bring a material from the last community to Charleston, bring their identity into Charleston, to build their value and faith here, when they are ready to leave, they will take one brick of Charleston to the next community they want to go.

In this way, the building completes a cycle with nomads, the building also becomes nomadic with people together.

The co-built system bonds people together through the identity and values of each individual in the process of building, symbiosis, integration, documentation and retrospection with the past and the future. Each resident living in the past, present and future in this growing creation built by themselves.

Thus their world becomes one, architecture, people, and their faith.
