Zhengyang(Eggy) Wei

The project is called Nice to Meet You:) and is based on the heart of the author's own dating life, which he experienced during his nine months in the UK. The work is part of the construction of 'Eggy's Universe', a two-dimensional frame-by-frame documentary animation, estimated to be four and a half minutes long, in which Eggy tells his story to reflect on the problems of dating apps and as a way of healing himself. Through this work, he wants to convey to the audience the social status of the urban population in the new media environment and the pitfalls of new ways of making friends. It expresses the conflict between the low cost of continuous social interaction and the ever-present sense of emptiness.
