Thinking of society as a perceptual result of continuous interactions between human factors, including physical and cultural ones, and external environments, Yiwen Tang believes that Contemporary Art should take on the responsibility of integrating these fragmented perceptual representations and rewriting the reality rather than merely copying and delivering it. With mass communication and digital images being the backbone of social life, Art is experiencing a spiritual dissonance, especially as the contemporary culture is moving towards visibility and visuality but gradually ignoring the invisible language, logic, and authenticity of contents. In the face of this situation, Yiwen Tang devotes to enriching the bidirectional spiritual communications, transformations, and fusions between self and others and to constructing further critical interactions between the public and the reality they ignore, such as cyber ideological control, techno-Populism, political propaganda, and medical empathy.
