Service Design (MA)

Ron Digao

I chose to pursue Service Design at the Royal College of Art because I am passionate about providing solutions to real-life challenges. Drawing upon my diverse background, I bring a personal touch to my work, offering fresh insights, innovative ideas, and a deep understanding of different cultures when approaching service design projects.

Growing up in the Philippines, I was immersed in a vibrant tapestry of traditions, values, and creative expressions. This upbringing shaped my perspective and instilled in me a profound appreciation for cultural diversity. It taught me to think beyond conventional boundaries and find unique solutions to design challenges.

Working in global hubs like New York and Stockholm exposed me to fast-paced and dynamic environments. Collaborating with professionals from various industries and cultural backgrounds, I witnessed firsthand the power of diversity in driving innovation. These experiences honed my adaptability and sharpened my ability to design solutions that cater to a wide range of audiences.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have collaborated with diverse teams throughout my career. This has taught me the value of inclusivity and the importance of incorporating diverse perspectives to create projects with a broader impact. As a person, I am cheery by nature, and I strongly believe in the power of collaboration over competition. I always strive to see the bigger picture and ensure that the work I do contributes to the betterment of society.

In my spare time, I indulge in my passion for music as a DJ and event producer. This creative outlet allows me to create spaces that bring people together, where they can enjoy unforgettable experiences. I derive immense joy from curating these environments and fostering a sense of community and connection.
