“My ultimate goal is to mix all the subjects I am passionate about and incorporate them into my career pursuits. This way, I can continue to evolve and grow indefinitely.”

He works on creating new modes of viewing that combine glass and multi-materials. His main focus is on the combination of glass art and photography, using glass practice as a starting point to dedicate to the minutiae of life, nature, human livelihoods and community relationships.

He explores the relationship between the glass material and itself and embeds it in different fields and spaces. The photographic works are primarily based on social documentary, landscape and humanities, which are integrated with glass. Combining multiple dimensions with glass art creation and design, he combines different practices to create a new way of looking at glass art.

Ziyu has been dedicated to researching how to subtly translate images between two-dimensional flatness art forms and three-dimensional art forms. As a glass artist, he incorporates glass materials into his research, using his side job as a photographer as a support for his inspiration for glass art, and existing in this way as a kind of 'circulating artist'.

In his different series of glass artworks, he constantly expands the boundaries of two-dimensional and three-dimensional interchange. The themes are mostly based on the author's personal experience of the geopolitical and identity perceptions of the young Asian generation born around the turn of the millennium, positive or negative, existing, non-existent or ongoing, imagined or hypothetical, from a variety of sources.

The pieces themselves explore how real and imagined scenarios can be constructed in glass works, thus bringing the audience's mind and imagination to bear in the presentation of the pieces.

In essence, the physical properties of glass dictate a duality between the real world and the virtual world. The reflection and convergence of light or the softness and flow of hot glass coexist with the hardness and stability of cold glass; in the long development of art photography, it seems that the edge between the present and the past has been blurred, with the creator bringing the reader the vision of a distant world, and through the viewer's mind, the immediate reality is created. The process of shaping the scene being photographed is like that of thermoplastic glass, the need to create that moment, and the result of the image is like the flawlessness of the glass after the fire has cooled. In my eyes, they are both essentially freeze-frames of a moment, hoping to take the realities occupied by both media and make them co-exist in a virtual field through scenography. In this way, he also seeks to explore how photography can be presented in a more varied way within the glass art medium. A more varied presentation in the medium of glass art.
