Zhexuan Pan is a contemporary jewellery artist and fine jewellery designer with a GIA Applied Jewellery Professional certificate. After graduating with a BA in Architecture, he studied Jewellery & Metal at the Royal College of Art. Zhexuan has a keen interest in investigating the surprising physical laws of nature and translating them through the language of jewellery.

The light shines brilliantly on hundreds of reflective surfaces

Light is a very special substance, void and yet full of energy.This project aims to investigate the mental and emotional support that light brings to people. You may have experienced the relaxation of sitting in the shade and feeling the light shine through the leaves or the feeling of being rejuvenated by seeing a sparkling lake when you feel down. The patterns formed by the refraction and reflection of light are like totems and tattoos, but the patterns presented through the light have more spiritual power.

It is a very personal project. Zhexuan has hidden texts and images in a more powerful form in the jewellery. He hopes that the wearer can strengthen the connection between themselves and the special story hidden in the jewellery as they search for patterns made of light.
