Los is an artist based in Shanghai and London who specialises in storytelling using 3D rendering and moving images. Her practice often revolves around the subtle emotions and anomalies of the mundane. Capturing them and translating them with her unique visual language, she attempts to create a calm and evocative space for thought.

This project looks at the identity in foreign land. Through research into cultural evolution, history of food integration, and experiments with image and sound, this project aims to discuss the process of building one’s identity in the context of globalisation. The journey is translated through the dissection of personal experience, in an attempt to draw out the big, common issues in small narratives.
Through experiencing the work the audience is invited to enter a private journey, to feel the subtle and real psychological shifts, while gaining some understanding of these struggles and finding some resonance in the interstices between image and text.
