Statement

to become (anything) in the painting
to sense mutating spaces and landscapes
to perceive magical realities
My paintings are the navigation of desire in the worldmaking of imagination. I construct imaginary spaces, places and landscapes that explore ideas about worlds of chaos, structures, decay and growth, transition to a new paradigm, a reflection on the liquid society we live in where everything changes and it cannot keep its shape; and the interconnectedness between species. We are nomadic subjects.
I am interested in the Deleuzian idea of becoming. I am excited about the becoming of something that grows out of nothing, I am also interested in the sensations and intensities. Every painting is a new beginning for me, a new desire, a new excitement and a new experience.I enjoy the surprise of colours, lines and marks interacting and producing tension and contrasts. Every painting challenges me to asks questions and it's a new opening to something else.
