From appliqué and fabric button-making to quilting, Isabel will lead a series of techniques exploring the endless potential of textile waste. She will demonstrate how considered placement, shape, colour, and stitch can be combined to create beautifully intricate textiles that challenge the perceptions of waste.

This workshop is suitable for both complete beginners and those with sewing experience. The aim of the workshop is to teach how textile waste can be used as the starting point for design, rather than an endpoint. The varied techniques taught will spark ideas of how waste can be incorporated into everyday sewing projects, such as mending and repair, decorative artworks or entirely new pieces of home furnishings and clothing.
