Zhiyu Guo is a digital artist and visual designer. He is passionate about introducing metaphorical and symbolic visual elements into his work, using multiple interactive media to explore the possibilities of immersive storytelling.

ROOM FOR THEM is a virtual reality immersive experience. The project explores the alteration and 'domestication' of people's mental health and behaviour by information overload in the context of today's rapidly developing digital technologies. It invites the audience to interact with symbolic visual elements and audio stories in a multi-sensory format, exploring the possibilities of self-redemption and emotional illusion.
Scene 1 - The audience will be introduced to a space of 'domestication', interacting with symbolic objects and sounds in the scene to move the story forward.
The project takes 'catastrophic thinking' as a starting point and explores the ways in which information and technology shape human mental health and behaviour. Also, based on research, it explores storytelling in an immersive, multi-sensory format.
