The reason why virtual reality technology is captivating nowadays is that it allows people to perceive, through visual means, a parallel information world that seamlessly aligns with the real world. In many ways and in many places, the boundaries between the information world and the real world have become intertwined, blurring the distinction between the physical and the virtual.

In this increasingly blurred boundary between reality and virtuality, as well as between the individual and the collective, I draw inspiration from Don Ihde's three categories of embodiment, as presented in "Bodies in Technology." Specifically, I start by exploring the personal "social body" and its portrayal on social media platforms, which serve as repositories of biographical data about people's lives. People constantly upload, update, and delete their digital representations on the internet. Against this backdrop, I aim to create a narrative film that involves constructing a fictional digital character within the realm of social media. I invite the audience to enter this constructed "social media" and experience how individuals today shape their self-image, transitioning from the "real me" to the "ideal me," while also exploring the deceptive nature, fluidity, and collision of identities in the digital realm.
