Through the RCA/V&A History of Design Program, Imogen was drawn to the notion that the object can act as a vessel to communicate the human experience. With a background in Cultural Studies, having graduated from the University of California Berkeley in 2021, she felt compelled to research objects which could be interpreted as markers for societal and cultural shifts.
Whilst at the RCA, Imogen was guided by this framework and worked to develop and sharpen her research practices. Following graduation, Imogen hopes to uncover more threads of the human experience through active exploration of material culture and design history.
