Dongxuan Luo

Dongxuan Luo (b. 1999, China) is currently constructing the collision between self-identity and current society through a narrative visual language, in order to prop up individual conflicts and express emotions.

I sat with my arms crossed on a sofa with a striped pattern and a grey wall in the background

In the current social context,I use a poetic visual language to express my same-sex identity, the dilemma and the vulnerability of the individual and how to find an outlet in this situation.

Dialogue

The use of embroidery is meant to be a mending of time, and working on fabric with old photographs is like a conversation with your past self, more like a reconciliation with your past self.
