Artist's pieces

As an artist, my work revolves around the intricate aspects of life and the profound expression of these details through the language of art. I believe that art cannot exist separately from life.

I utilize metal as a medium to showcase how I observe and deconstruct our urban and domestic environments, exploring the mutual influence between human behaviours, specific spaces and particular journeys. I see the traces left behind by objects as evidence of their existence and the events that have taken place.

My works invite the audience to engage with the traces as if they are touching a part of the past. Through these traces, a special bond can be formed, enabling a unique form of communication that transcends logical time and space.

Proof of Exist: Food

I view the happenings around a dining table as a microcosm of our lives. By documenting and reimagining these traces, such as food stains, I create a poetic scenario and I capture the intangible moments that have already occurred.

Leveraging the patination resulting from the reaction between copper surfaces and food, I preserve the imprints of food. Employing metal wire craftsmanship and sewing techniques, I reenact the traces and food stains, creating a new narrative. This fusion of materials and techniques adds depth and richness to the exploration of stains.

I reinterpret my observations and experiences of the surrounding environment through the combination of metal and glass. The fundamental structure of this artwork derives from the paths that people tread daily. The patination on the metal surface is derived from specific objects present in the represented areas, such as the gravel on the roads and the vegetation on the ground. These showcase the intimate connection between individuals and their surroundings.
