This is something that each one of these artists have asked themselves multiple times in one form or another…
When doubt creeps in...
These artists are wrestling with huge themes, as we all are these days. Trying to make art with the various ever-present threats that surround us is challenging for sure, this is not even to mention our own more personal arsenal of ever-present threats that we encounter daily. No wonder there is doubt about the ability to become an artist, to express yourself, to make yourself vulnerable, to take risks. As artists we have to comment, we have to confront ourselves, one another and to be accountable. And we have to try to see if our asses will really follow: This is our vocation.

This is not a cry to be selfish, to be exclusive or to be inwards looking. This is a cry to rid yourself of worry, to be joyous, to celebrate and to share with others.

This is the final Moving Image cohort. Many important relationships have been kindled here, many happinesses have been created and brought into the world here, many discoveries have been made here. Let us celebrate our time together, remembering absent friends in our celebrations. Many of us are forever changed by having had connections with the Moving Image Studio, the Moving Image Pathway.
