[TEXTILES] Shape Play Sticker Collage
Sunday 2 July 15:00 (GMT +0) LIVE from RCA
Throughout her Masters, Chloe Grieve has aspired to use art to transform psychiatric healthcare spaces. Inspired by her therapist’s request to keep a mood diary, Chloe incorporated her practice by drawing a shape to match each day’s mood. This diary titled ‘A Shape a Day’, began in the final year of her BA and has built an incredible library of hundreds of shapes. Chloe used these shapes to create graphic patterns and compositions that inspire joy. Later she developed a series of shape stickers to encourage creativity for the public in a non-intimidating avenue.
During the Shape Play Sticker Collage workshop, participants are invited to play and create compositions with the stickers. The materials of the shape stickers will be provided, along with striped sheets of paper acting as the canvas. In the session, you will develop a piece of work or two to take away home. This workshop aims to create a relaxing and safe environment for attendees to take a moment out of their busy lives, catch their breath, and create. It is an easy-going, drop-in event where participants are welcome to stay as long or as little as they like. Beginners and people of every age are welcome, no experience is necessary.
