Estimated Duration: 1 hour
Location: Gorvy Theatre, RCA Battersea, 1 Hester Road London SW11 4AY

A day as a work of art, a performance by Gianna T explores the creative potential found in misalignment and unlearning of conventions. In the performance, initially born out of a frustration he felt towards painting, Gianna harasses the surfaces of canvas to become one with his artwork and spend a day as an alive walking painting creature. This extension of his body into one of the oldest and most renowned mediums brings about an unexpected equilibrium, leading him to uncharted territory. By combining the heterogeneous energies of humour and his comprehensive exploration of life’s spectrum, Gianna delves into the dynamic interplay between vibrant anarchy and the profound meaning it conveys.

Gianna T (b. Pesaro, Italy) lives and works in London. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino, Italy. Recent exhibitions and projects include: Life is Beautiful at 9 French Place (London, 2022), Softcore at Koppel X (Group exhibition, London, 2022), Meatspace at Koppel Projects (Group exhibition, London, 2021) Zoonosi at Metaforte (Group exhibition, Venice, 2020), Gato Vermelho at Caidas da Rainha (Performance Art Festival, Portugal, 2020), South Bermondsey Art Trail (London, 2020), THE FUCKUPS FESTIVAL at Studio Cromie Gallery (Group exhibition, Grottaglie, 2019).
